What is Ride Africa Classic?
Our flagship fundraising ride, Ride Africa: Classic is a five-day cycling adventure through East Africa’s most stunning landscapes.
This unforgettable journey is our longest Ride Africa trip, and combines this epic challenge with luxury accommodation. You’ll ride alongside wildlife, cycle through the savannah, and end each day in beautiful lodges and boutique hotels that offer the perfect place to unwind.

Fees: £2,750 per rider
Fundraising target: £2,000
This covers:
7 nights of accommodation in world-class safari lodges or glamping
All national park and conservancy fees (worth up to 200USD per day)
Bike rental and repairs
Cycling support (guides and mechanics)
Transport within Kenya (including airport pick-up)
3 x daily meals, snacks and drinking water
2 x cycling jerseys and custom Ride Africa dry bag
Routes and dates
Route: Ride Africa Classic currently has two route options:

Lake Nakuru - Lake Elementaita - Lake Naivasha - Narok - Maasai Mara
Mara Calling takes riders through some of Kenya’s most famous national parks. On this route, we’ve cycled past elephant, giraffe, rhino, hyena, wildebeest… and much more.
Between 350 and 500km, mixed surfaces (road and some trail).

Amboseli - West Kili - Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara
A cross-border route taking cyclists beneath the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro and ending at the world-famous Serengeti in Tanzania.

Unprecedented wildlife access
Our partnership with wildlife services takes the concept of safari up a notch. With unprecedented cycling access to National Parks and Conservancies, you’ll experience East Africa’s iconic wildlife from your bike. Zebra, giraffes, gazelles, elephants… and more.
Hospitality
Ride Africa: Classic is designed for those who want the best of both worlds: real adventure, and the chance to rest and recover in total comfort. After a day on your bike, relax with a cold drink, a hot shower, and a delicious meal in luxury lodges, boutique hotels, and well-appointed safari-style camps.
Team support
Expert cycle guides and mechanics - led by David Kinjah; Team Nurses supporting on health, safety and well-being; and a solid Logistics Team ensuring you get from start to finish! Expect a high staff-to-rider ratio and expert advice and support on and off the road.
Supporting Child.org
The funds you raise through Ride Africa go directly to Child.org. Child.org work with parents, communities and local government to champion life-saving maternal and child healthcare.
