Lucy N

Chege

In his day job, Chege works in Child.org’s programming team delivering our maternal and child health projects and working closely with community and local authority partners. During Ride Africa, Chege is on hand to liaise with our police escorts (among MANY other tasks).

Clare

The cycling experts and our nurses

Ruth

Ruth is our programmes, research and advocacy officer day-to-day. During Ride, she works alongside Lucy N managing key logistics and partners. Ruth brings a meticulous approach to this, and an inspiring energy to the overall experience.

Hattie

You’ll find Hattie with a camera to hand and a huge smile on her face. Hattie is our Comms and Fundraising Officer and will be making sure you are having the best time (and smashing your fundraising target) during Ride Africa.

Ashleigh and Penny

Ashleigh and Penny are our Ride Africa nurses (and Ride Africa legends). Experienced Emergency Department Nurses, Ashleigh and Penny will look after your health and wellbeing throughout Ride Africa. From scrapes to sunburn, to a much-needed hug, they are here to make sure you have a brilliant Ride.

FUEL HQ

Fuel HQ is an award-winning creative production company who have supported Ride Africa for almost a decade (!). Brian and the team unite a group of expert cycle guides who will manage the cycle from within the peloton (and support vehicles!) and ensure you and the bikes get from the start to finish in one piece!

David Kinjah

Kinjah is a cycling legend in Kenya. He coached Chris Froome, and founded the Chris Froome cycling academy, the Safari Simbaz. There’s no Kenyan hill that he can’t motivate you to ride to the top of! Kinjah and his guides will accompany our Ride Africa: Kenya, coaching you through the hills and fixing any mechanicals.

The Safari Simbaz

Safari Simbaz is a Kenyan-based cycling centre and non-profit run by David Kinjah; each Ride Africa a group of Simbaz join us to manage the bike mechanics and maintenance, and guide/support the group of riders.

The rest of the team

Kenya Wildlife Service

This epic Ride Africa route could not happen without the support and input from KWS. Senior wardens and rangers provide the expertise to ensure we cycle safely and respectfully through the three National Parks, while having the most incredible safari experience!

Evans and the Transport Team

We are supported by a brilliant team of drivers and porters, headed by Evans, our transport manager. This team will ensure our water, luggage, food and aching bodies get from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara and back to Nairobi again.
