Healthy mums, healthy communities
In Kenya, maternal mortality is almost twice the global average.
Every year, Ride Africa raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for international charity Child.org. Child.org works with pregnant women, communities and government in Kenya to strengthen health systems by:
Providing essential health information to parents ;
Connecting at-risk mums and babies to critical care ;
Collaborating with health authorities to advocate for and improve the quality of perinatal health services ;
Working with communities to foster and environment which recognises the value or empowering women with knowledge and peer support.
